Overview

Thomas Marcoz joined Balaguer, Milewski & Imbrogno in January 2025.  His area of expertise is defending health care providers in medical negligence cases as well as before Administrative Agencies including the Board of Medicine, Board of Nursing, Board of Dentistry, Board of Social Work Examiners and Board of Veterinary Medicine.  Prior to joining Balaguer, Milewski & Imbrogno, Mr. Marcoz worked for twenty-two years at Marshall, Dennehey, Warner, Coleman & Goggin in the Health Care Liability Group.  Thomas is proficient in all aspects of litigation, from case inception through trial.  He has both first and second chair experience litigating cases.  He has handled cases in the Delaware Superior Court, Common Pleas Court and Justice of the Peace Court. 

Thomas attended the University of Pittsburgh, where he received his Bachelor of Science in Nursing (1998).  He remained at the University of Pittsburgh where he obtained his Juris Doctor, cum laude (2002).  While in law school, Thomas obtained a Certificate in Health Law.

Recognition and Involvement

Thomas was named a Delaware Magazine Top Lawyer in 2020, 2022, 2023 and 2024.  He has published an article, Medical Legal Issues Regarding Electronic Medical Records.  Thomas was previously an adjunct professor at the University of Delaware where he taught a health law module for students interested in beginning careers as legal nurse consultants.
